As you know, an AttributeMagic can extract date-time data from file name or textual metadata and assign it to any file timestamp.
AttributeMagic utility relies on extraction pattern that it uses in order to retrieve valid date-time data from each string. Pattern contains special tokens that will match specific parts of date-time stamp and optional delimiters.
Tokens:
Token | Meaning |
---|---|
DD | Day |
MM | Month |
YYYY | Year |
hh | hour |
mm | minute |
ss | second |
Possible date-time extraction patterns are as follows:
File name format | Pattern | Date-time value |
---|---|---|
2010-07-12 10.15.30.txt | yyyy-mm-dd hh.nn.ss | Year=2010 Month=7 Day=12 Hour=10 Minute=15 Second=30 |
20110806(170848).m2ts | YYYYMMDD(hhmmss) | Year=2011 Month=8 Day=6 Hour=17 Minute=08 Second=48 |
Extraction patterns are case-sensitive.
